Deion Sanders, Michael Jordan, and Anfernee Hardaway are LeBron James’ childhood idols. Nike created the Heroes Pack, which consists of three special make ups of the Nike Air Max LeBron VII. Unfortunately, none of them are available to public, but the shoes are pretty nice. In fact, they are so nice, that it makes much more difficult to understand why in the world they weren’t released. Seems like the demand is very high though, because one pair has surfaced eBay and it’s already fetching very big numbers.

With the USA Basketball team getting ready for the final showdown, let’s take a closer look at LeBron James‘ first World Championship shoes – Nike Zoom 20-5-5’s. The Twenty Five Five was a great shoe and it’s gained the “wanted” status among many ballers. Unfortunately, it’s very difficult to find a pair nowadays. We were calling them light back in the day, especially in comparison with the numbered series (ZLIII, ZLIV), but by today’s standards they would classify as slightly heavy. On the other side, 20.5.5’s cushy Zoom Air implementation is still no. 1 in my book. LeBron James has been wearing the Zoom Soldier IV’s a lot as of late. He introduced them during the 2010 Skills Academy. He also wore them at his annual Bike-a-thon in Akron. That’s when he sported the Black/White/Red colorway, which you can see below and also in the ZSIV gallery. The shoes have slightly changed since the sample model, but it was all for the better. Just like in TV when a show is really good… sooner or later… the idea about a spin-off comes to mind. In this case, in order to popularize LeBron’s kicks in Asia, Nike created a separate line of basketball shoes named Zoom LBJ Ambassador. They are a part of the Nike LeBron line, but despite sharing the LeBron name & logos their purpose is much different. The Ambassadors release exclusively in Asia/Pacific region in order to match the expectations of local ballplayers. Only a handful of pairs are being shipped to the U.S. – mainly House of Hoops stores. The latest model – Zoom LBJ Ambassador 3 will premiere this fall along the main shoe for the year – LeBron VIII. Similar to the Soldier line, the new Ambassadors have made the switch and offer Air Max cushioning in the heel. Closer Look at the Nike Air Max LeBron VIII (8) Launch Colorway
It’s mid-August and Nike still hasn’t released any solid piece of information about the upcoming Nike Air Max LeBron VIII – LeBron James’ eight signature shoe. After the teaser video released last month, MarqueeSole published new photos presenting the launch colorway of the AMLVIII. All this makes us believe that the featured model won’t change much before going into production. The VIII seems like an upgrade from the VII. Apart from logos (new signature, lionhead), suede upper and carbon fiber/flywire panels there no drastic changes. However, since the previous model was very well received seems like there was no need for a complete makeover.
